Melanochromis Periloucus

The Melanochromis Periloucus is an African cichlid from Lake Malawi. It is currently on the endangered species Red list, due to commercial fishing and native human consuption. All exportation of these have been cancelled, and a shame seeing it is one of the nicest mbuna there is. You know it is a rare species when google only comes up with one hit! We have 27 F1 Melanochromis Periloucus that came from Derek Forsyth at www.finsofafrica.com . My goal is to rase and breed the 27 that I have to try to re-enlist these fish in the cichlid hobby in Ontario, just as Derek has been doing. If you are living up north Ontario, and in the market for the highest quality of fry, Derek is the man. The WC father is in the picture below.
